Sadie was an incredible doula and made my long birth a beautiful experience. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a doula in Portland. I wasn’t sure I needed a doula when I was first making my birth plan but I’m SO glad I did and can’t imagine my birth going so well without Sadie.

In our prenatal meetings, she made my husband and I feel at ease with her. She showed my husband hands on support techniques (she is a massage therapist so her hands on support felt great!) and gave him the tools to feel confident supporting me during the birth. This was my first birth and she answered all of our questions and sent us resources about anything we needed.

During the actual birth, she stayed with us through the 2 days of labor at home, transition to the hospital, and the few hours after the birth to make sure all of my needs were met. Her calm presence, complete attention to me, and support of my husband were instrumental in getting me through those challenging days.

I also highly recommend you get a massage with Sadie! She brought her massage table to my home and gave me a prenatal massage before our first meeting and postpartum massage after our final meeting.

I will definitely keep booking her for massages and will hire her as a doula for my next birth!

My experience with Sadie was wonderful. She is thoughtful, organized, and very generous with her healing energy. She was always available when needed, often going above and beyond, and was great at being adaptable to the changes of the rhythms of the pregnancy, the birth, and the postpartum. She is an asset to any birth team.

Sadie helped us through our first pregnancy and child birth. She was always there for me even when I was feeling so tired and low that I couldn't even ask for help. Our child was breached so we ended up having a C-section. Despite the last minute changes in our birthing plan, Sadie ensured to stay with me through out my time at the hospital and during the postpartum care. I am forever grateful to her. If you are looking for a birthing doula, you cannot find anyone more caring and giving that Sadie!
